Another in the Ichigo Orihime series (see gallery for the evidence of my guilt).


This concept is based off the events of the manga and so for those of you in North America, this is a big OMGWTFBBQ most likely because there are differences between the current Soul Society Arc (as being shown in North America) versions of Ichigo and Orihime. .

The process for this piece =
*Pencil sketch
*Drew another ink sketch using translucent paper
*Scanned
*Cleaned and colored and then asked catdrool.com folks about it, and they saw some problems
*Redrew the lineart within Painter to change pose and try to give Ichigo "more to do."
*Painted and added some elements which I think are more symbolic than anything.

I tried to go for super comic book style coloring here in that I wanted to go for impact. I'm still mulling some things on the bottom half and may tweak this between now and AWA. This one I really like (so far), so I think I'll bring some prints along of this.

I know I owe some Orihime art to some folks and that I hope is next. Maybe I'll just scuttle the action shot and go for a pretty pretty face shot instead of her by herself.
