Yes, it can never replace the original Seven Samurai, but I love this show produced by Gonzo. The designs rock, the fighting is well-choreographed and there are mechs in this odd little Asian universe. This show is not available yet in the U.S. as it's still running Japan. wooo! (Which means, I do believe this is one of the first S7 fanarts produced in the U.S. hehehe. Yay obscure anime!) This is actually two 8x11 pencil sketches put together. I wanted originally to do it on one panel but it felt way too cramped to me. I won't spoil everything in here for you -- but I included what I felt were the appropriate principal characters.^_^; It's another one of my group pieces. I seem to not be able to get away from group shots. There are some issues with putting two pieces together, which I won't get into. I'm not a neat lineartist so I went with the airbrush soft style of coloring as RandomEdward suggested. I might go back and tinker with some small color issues and if I can think of a better background, I'll change it. And now to decide whether or not to color some existing pieces or go off and sketch some more obscure anime shows! (whee!) |

i think that would work well this piece.
your lineart is too rough and sketchy, i think, to be a crisp professional looking cel.
